mission

our 5 true north tenants

The idea of a “true north” is central to Safeena Noah. This company isn’t just about me and my (*sparkling*) personality, but it’s about central values. Values that run deep within myself as a human, photographer, business owner, and values that I hope run deep with you.

Because when I create, I’m not creating for you, I’m creating with you.

So it’s important we’re on the same team, yeah?

these are the things that guide what we do and how we create:

1. The marriage will always be infinitely more important than the wedding.
Vows are too sacred to get lost in the riffraff of throwing the most Pinterest-worthy party. I do this work so that when things get hard, you have images to hold and remind yourself of why you fell in love. It’s not for the features or followers or to meet the expectations of everyone under the sun, but for you and your loved ones alone. It’s not about a day and how perfect everything looked, but the unfolding of a bigger story than you know.
2. Real connection is everything.
Cordial and stiff isn’t my thing. I’ll be your friend, your third wheel, and your confidante. Sometimes I’ll even be your potty-mouth pack mule and your enneagram consultant, but the point is that you’re getting the real me, not a 2-D wedding vendor version of me. The best way I can serve you is by truly knowing you, and that stuff tends to be a two-way street.
KNOW ME
3. Love is more about giving than taking.
I’ve gained immeasurably more from my experiences doing this work than I could ever put a dollar sign on. 25% of photographer resources go toward non-profits. $500 from each full-day wedding goes toward non-profits.
4. We are chasing and creating what is on earth as it is in heaven.
This earth is so good and has given us so much to appreciate. Traveling and experiencing the outdoors with couples in love has brought me so close to my idea of heaven. Every shoot feels like a tiny miracle. So we give back to the world and respect nature in gratitude for what it’s given us.
5. Basic human goodness.
We are affirming of all our friends who live kindly and love well. Safeena Noah does not discriminate on the basis of race, ability, sexual orientation, gender expression, etc. We do not cast judgement; we do not tokenize. The only thing we are intolerant of here is intolerance.

I (Safeena) have vetted them all personally (I had to use that Non-Profit degree for something, right?) and believe in these organizations, and I hope you do too. Hover over any name to learn more.
